Dead Croatian Women is a multidisciplinary, site specific, devised show created by female identifying collaborators. Through research in folklore rituals from the director’s country of origin, dead croatian women explored female autonomy, trauma and resistance. Using Croatian folklore dance, live music and real witch trial records the performance confronted the narrative of ‘’The Evil’’ female character, that is ingrained in every culture’s mysticism.
